1. What information do we collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
In short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register for the Services, express an interest in us or our products and Services, participate in activities on the Services, or contact us.
Personal information provided by you. What we collect depends on your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. This information may include:
- Email addresses
- Usernames
- Passwords
- Billing addresses
- Debit or credit card numbers
- Names
Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive information.
Payment data. We may collect data needed to process a purchase, such as a payment instrument number and its security code. Payment data is handled and stored by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. Their privacy notices are available from Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
Social media login data. We may let you register using an existing social media account, such as Facebook or X. If you do, we collect profile information from that provider as described in How do we handle social logins?
Application data. If you use our applications, we may collect the following information when you provide access or permission:
- Mobile device data. Device ID, model, manufacturer, operating system and version, system configuration, application identifiers, browser type and version, hardware model, internet service provider or mobile carrier, IP address, phone network, platform, and information about application features you access.
- Push notifications. We may ask to send notifications about your account or application features. You can turn them off in your device settings.
We use this application information primarily to maintain security and operation, troubleshoot issues, and conduct internal analytics and reporting. Information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us when it changes.
Information automatically collected
In short: Some information, such as your IP address and device or browser characteristics, is collected automatically when you use the Services.
This information does not reveal your specific identity, but it may include your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use the Services, and other technical information. We primarily need it for security, operation, analytics, and reporting.
- Log and usage data. Service-related diagnostic, usage, and performance information, including IP address, device information, browser settings, timestamps, viewed pages and files, searches, feature use, system activity, error reports, and hardware settings.
- Device data. Information about the computer, phone, tablet, or other device used to access the Services, including identifiers, location, browser type, hardware model, internet service provider or carrier, operating system, and system configuration.
- Location data. Precise or imprecise device location, depending on your device and settings. This may include GPS-based location or location inferred from your IP address. You can refuse permission or disable location settings, although some parts of the Services may then be unavailable.
2. How do we process your information?
In short: We process information to provide, improve, and administer the Services, communicate with you, prevent fraud, maintain security, and comply with law. We process information for other purposes only with your prior explicit consent.
Depending on how you interact with the Services, we may process information:
- To create and authenticate accounts and keep user accounts working.
- To deliver and facilitate delivery of requested Services.
- To fulfill and manage orders, payments, returns, and exchanges.
- To send marketing and promotional communications in accordance with your preferences. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
- To save or protect an individual's vital interests, including preventing harm.
3. What legal bases do we rely on?
In short: We process personal information when we believe it is necessary and have a valid legal reason under applicable law, such as consent, legal compliance, providing the Services or fulfilling a contract, protecting rights, or pursuing legitimate business interests.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the legal bases we rely on. These may include:
- Consent. You have given permission to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Performance of a contract. Processing is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations, provide the Services, or take steps at your request before entering a contract.

Canada
We may process information with your express consent or when consent can be inferred. You can withdraw consent at any time. In exceptional cases, applicable law may allow processing without consent, including:
- When collection is clearly in an individual's interests and timely consent is unavailable.
- For investigations and fraud detection or prevention.
- For qualifying business transactions.
- To assess, process, or settle an insurance claim using a witness statement.
- To identify an injured, ill, or deceased person and communicate with next of kin.
- When there are reasonable grounds to believe someone may be a victim of financial abuse.
- When collecting with consent would compromise information needed to investigate an agreement breach or a contravention of Canadian or provincial law.

- We may disclose de-identified information for approved research or statistical projects, subject to ethics oversight and confidentiality commitments.
4. When and with whom do we share personal information?
In short: We may share information in the situations described below and with specified categories of third parties.
Vendors, consultants, and service providers. We may share data with vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents that perform work for us and need access to that data. Our contracts are designed to protect personal information. These providers may process the information only as instructed, must protect it, and must retain it only for the period we instruct.

Business transfers. We may share or transfer information during negotiations or completion of a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business.
5. How do we handle social logins?
In short: If you register or log in using a social media account, we may access certain information about you.
The Services may allow sign-in using third-party social media account details, such as Facebook or X. The profile information we receive varies by provider but may include your name, email address, friends list, profile picture, and information you make public on that platform.
We use this information only for purposes described in this notice or made clear through the Services. We do not control how the social media provider uses your information. Review the provider's privacy notice and privacy settings for more information.
6. How long do we keep your information?
In short: We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes in this notice unless law requires or permits a longer period.
No purpose in this notice requires keeping personal information longer than the period in which users have an account with us. When we have no continuing legitimate business need to process personal information, we will delete or anonymize it. If deletion is not immediately possible, such as when information is stored in backup archives, we will securely store and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
7. How do we keep your information safe?
In short: We use organizational and technical security measures designed to protect personal information.
No electronic transmission or storage technology can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot promise that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized parties will never defeat our safeguards and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify information. Transmission to and from the Services is at your own risk, and you should access the Services only within a secure environment.
8. Do we collect information from minors?
In short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18, or the equivalent age specified by law in your jurisdiction.
By using the Services, you represent that you meet the applicable minimum age, or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to their use of the Services. If we learn that we collected personal information from someone below that age, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable steps to delete the information promptly. 9. What are your privacy rights?
In short: Depending on your US state or country, including the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada, you may have rights that provide access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time, subject to applicable law.
Depending on your location, your rights may include:
- Requesting access to and a copy of personal information.
- Requesting correction or deletion.
- Restricting processing.
- Receiving portable data, when applicable.
- Objecting to certain processing.
- Not being subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. If such a decision is made, we will explain the main factors and provide a way to request human review.

Complaints in the United Kingdom
If you complain directly to us, we will:
- Acknowledge the complaint within 30 days of receiving it.
- Investigate without unjustifiable or excessive delay.
- Keep you informed of progress and explain the outcome.
If you are unhappy with our final response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, call 0303 123 1113, or write to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
EEA and UK residents may also complain to their national data protection authority. Swiss residents may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Withdrawing consent
If we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us or updating your preferences. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal or processing based on another lawful ground.
Marketing communications
You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. We may still send service messages needed to administer your account, respond to requests, or provide non-marketing communications.
Account information
To review, change, or terminate your account, contact us or use the available account controls. When you request termination, we will deactivate or delete the account and information from active databases. We may retain information when needed to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist investigations, enforce legal terms, or meet legal requirements.
10. Controls for Do-Not-Track features
Some browsers, operating systems, and applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") setting. No uniform standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized, so we do not currently respond to them. If a standard we must follow is adopted, we will describe that practice in a revised notice. California law requires us to explain this response.
11. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?
In short: Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia may have rights to access information, receive details about its processing, correct inaccuracies, obtain a copy, delete information, or withdraw consent. Applicable law may limit these rights.

We may disclose personal information to service providers under written contracts. We may also use information for internal research, technological development, and demonstrations. This is not considered a sale of personal information.

Your US state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, your rights may include:

- Correcting inaccurate personal data.

Email hello@algofox.app or use the contact details below. You may designate an authorized agent. We may deny an agent's request if the agent does not provide valid proof of authorization.
Request verification
We must verify that you are the person associated with the requested information. We use request information only to verify identity or authority. If we cannot verify you using information we already maintain, we may request additional information for verification or fraud prevention. An authorized agent may need to provide your written and signed permission.
Appeals
If we decline a request, you may appeal by emailing hello@algofox.app. We will explain in writing what action we took or did not take. If we deny the appeal, you may complain to your state attorney general.
California "Shine the Light" law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 allows California residents to request, once per year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for direct marketing and the names and addresses of those third parties. Submit a written request using the contact information below.
12. Do we make updates to this notice?
In short: Yes. We update this notice as needed to comply with relevant laws.
An updated version will show a revised date at the top. If we make material changes, we may post a prominent notice or notify you directly. Review this notice periodically to stay informed.
