Delete your account
Deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately. There is no recovery period and no undo, so please read the subscription warning first.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Only the store can do that, and if you delete your account without cancelling, you will keep being billed. Cancel in your Apple or Google subscription settings first, then come back here.
If you still have the app
This is the fastest route and it needs nothing from us.
- Open AlgoFox and go to Profile.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm when asked. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
If you cannot access the app
If you have lost access to your device or cannot sign in, emailhello@algofox.appfrom the email address on the account, with "Account deletion request" as the subject.
We use the address you write from to confirm the account is yours; if you write from a different address we will have to ask you for something that proves it. After we verify the request, we will delete the account and email you once it is done. The time required may vary if we need additional information to confirm that the account is yours.
What is deleted
All of this is removed permanently:
- Your sign-in identity and email address
- Your profile, including display name and preferences
- All progress: lessons completed, streaks, experience points, and skill mastery
- Every answer and attempt you have submitted
- Your practice session history
- Your subscription records held by us
What is kept, and why
We keep a minimal record that a deletion happened: the date and whether the account was a guest account, with no contact details attached. It exists so we can show that a deletion request was honoured and is accessible only to authorized service systems.
Purchase and billing records held by Apple or Google are theirs, not ours, and are governed by their policies and by tax law. Deleting your AlgoFox account has no effect on them.
Historical product-analytics events may remain after account deletion. They are retained or deleted according to our provider settings and applicable law. If you want analytics data that can still be associated with you included in a manual deletion request, email us athello@algofox.app. See our privacy policy for more information.
